Biostatistics & Epidemiology

Our Mission

The mission of the Biostatistics and Epidemiology Program is to promote and enhance biostatistics and epidemiology as academic disciplines within the Division of Family Medicine and to provide expertise in education, research and service in the areas of biostatistics, epidemiology and data management for the Department of Family and Community Medicine, the Health Sciences Center, and the State of New Mexico.

What we do
The FCM Biostats team works with faculty, researchers and learners in the Department of Family and Community Medicine and College of Population Health to support impactful and innovative research.

We also support several educational programs at HSC by providing individual consultation for medical students, biomedical sciences clinical research students, public health students, and residents, as well as collaborate with the College of Population Health to provide biostatistics courses.
