Research Services

RMT Services

The FCM Research Management Team (RMT) is the primary point of contact between FCM faculty and the UNM Health Sciences Center Sponsored Projects Office (SPO) for all contract and grant submission activity. FCM investigators interested in submitting a proposal should contact RMT as soon as possible to establish a submission plan and in order to route all required documents to HSC SPO. The RMT follows the HSC SPO submission and reporting timelines.

In addition to being the department’s SPO liaison, FCM RMT supports the full lifecycle of a project – from idea development to grant submission to manuscript writing and close-out reports. FCM RMT provides an array of services for faculty, residents, students and community partners to build and sustain research, education, and other scholarly initiatives and clinic- and community-based projects.

FCM RMT seeks to promote interdisciplinary collaborations and is available to assist researchers from all academic departments, depending on the scope of needed services.

We can help at any stage, and with projects large and small.  We are also happy to give presentations to classes and teams on contract/grant and research procedures. Please contact Stephanie Cockrell, Sr. Program Manager for Research, to request services and set up a consultation.

The FCM Research Management Team (RMT) provides comprehensive support for contract and grant management. We work closely with the UNM Health Sciences Center Sponsored Projects Office and Contract & Grant Accounting, as well as serve as a liaison to UNM main campus offices.

FCM RMT handles all submissions for FCM faculty and many affiliated programs. If you are interested in submitting a proposal, please contact Stephanie Cockrell, Sr. Program Manager for Research, as soon as possible so that we can add you to our “radar” of upcoming projects. A staff member will contact you to set up a consultation to discuss the scope of your project needs and establish a submission plan. Standard internal and SPO deadlines are listed on our submission timeline.
